Helmed in by our Master Chef, diners to Peony-Jade will be spoilt for choice with its extensive menu offering predominantly traditional Szechuan cuisine, complemented by a selection of Cantonese favourites. Szechuan cuisine is probably best known for its robust and spicy flavours, and at Peony-Jade, only the freshest ingredients are used to highlight the natural goodness and flavours of the dishes.
For starters, diners can indulge in the traditional Szechuan Smoked Duck with Camphor Wood & Fragrant Tea Leaves, served with steamed chinese flower buns. A great appetizer is the Deep Fried Golden Mushrooms with Salt & Pepper which makes a wonderfully addictive snack with its light, fluffy texture and light ginger seasoning. The Crispy Soft Shell Crab is another absolute must try appetizer.
Highly recommended are our Szechuan favourites, including the delightful Szechuan Hot & Sour Soup served in a stylish martini glass, classic Wok Fried String Beans with Minced Pork, Roast Chicken with Hot Sesame Sauce, Braised Hot & Sour Seafood in Deep Fried Beancurd Box, Pan Fried Prawns with Szechuan Green Chilli Paste to name a few.
A classic Cantonese dish such as the traditional roast Peking Duck with Cucumber & Spring Onions in Crepe Fold is a perennial favourite with diners. For those with a more adventurous palate, Master Chef has lent a touch of creativity to inspired dishes such as Deep Fried Codfish with Oat Cereals - a definite must-try of piping hot succulent codfish complemented with a rich smooth sauce made from carnation milk, oats & margarine, Deep Fried Prawns with Strawberry & Mango mayonnaise, Chilled Mango Sago with Pomelo Sacs etc.
